My name is Gabriela Pereira and I’ve been a Placerville resident
for 28 years. My dream of owning my own business started when
I opened a snoopy snow-cone stand on my neighborhood street, I
knew then that someday I’d have a business of my own.
I’m happily married to a wonderful man and we have two beautiful
boys that we’re raising in Placerville. I spent 10 years in customer
service and sales for a medical manufacturing company, although
the pay and the position were great I still yearned for something
else. So I went to night school and got my certification in massage,
then later got my esthetician license. I’ve been working in the
spa industry for 3 years. With the love and support of my family
and friends I’m taking the plunge to fulfill my childhood dream.
The opening of Mimosa Day Spa is a dream come true for
me. I’m excited to see how this chapter in my life unfolds. Taking
care of others and helping clients feel good about their skin
is what I love most about my profession.
Lastly, just in case you were wondering why I named the spa Mimosa?
Well my parents come from Buenos Aires Argentina and growing up
my parents would tell me I was very “mimosa” which in Spanish
means: someone who wants attention, coddled, pampered and or spoiled.
There you have it, this is exactly how I want my customers to
feel…MIMOSA!
